The hauntingly beautiful original of Emma Hewitt’s ‘Colours’ gets another smashing club-translation, with the sturdy beats of Cosmic Gate hitting right in!
As the first single of her upcoming artist album ‘Burn The Sky Down’, Emma chose the magnificent ‘Colours’. Its powerful melody, lush break and of course the deep, warm voice of Emma have now come together in a remix approved for club-affairs.
After the Armin van Buuren and Jerome Isma-Ae remixes, it was German duo Cosmic Gate’s turn to translate ‘Colours’ into a dance floor moment no clubber will ever forget. And so they did.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Colours by Emma Hewitt is one of the biggest vocal trance tracks of the year because of the fantastic versions by the 4 times n1 DJ of the world Armin van Buuren and the superb progressive house star Jerome Ismae. Now its time Emma to meet once again the awesome trance duo Cosmic Gate who once again surprise us with a fantastic mixture of progressive and big room trance in one glowing and thunderous remix that will bring this marvelous track back at the top of the dj lists. Their remix utilizes in the best possible way the excellent vocal upon the electroish bassline and the quite minimal prog trance beat. In that way the top heartfelt lyrics and her voice abilities shine and become the focus point of the track. The breakdown is quite melancholic or even melodramatic with romantic piano melody and the great vocals until the huge distorted synthy riffs to appear in order to allow the clubbers get excited and raise those hands in the air ready for the big room climax. A shorter breakdown comes in for just the chorus and then follows a second punchier and fuller with melodic layers climax. Top Remix for an outstanding song! Love IT!
