REVIEW: John O'Callaghan - The Bailout out on Subculture/Armada Music

1-John O'Callaghan - The Bailout(Original mix)

Fighting the dwindling of beats per minute, John O’Callaghan  returns to trance origins, with a hard-hitting ‘The Bailout’.

It’s no secret that Irishman John O’Callaghan loves the higher BPM sound. It’s that wild drive and energy, that make his sets of a unique kind. After the melodic ‘Save This Moment’, ‘Ride The Wave’ and ‘Bring Back The Sun’, the mastermind behind the Subculture label returns to the much harder side of tech-trance with ‘The Bailout’.He kicks in with the hard-trance journey of ‘The Bailout’.  That one may build steady at first, but before you know it you’re dancing to a 140 BPM rhythm, a feet-killing tempo to a mind-blowing track. This is a floor killer you won’t forget about soon.

Dimitri Kechagias review: John O' Callaghan is one of the finest representatives of the hard tech trance sound in his sets. Of course in his Unfold album he revealed to us his other creative sides as well with progressive trance tracks as well. The Bailout that is used as intro to his CD2 of his Subculture 2011 compilation that is out now, starts with top notch melodic intro that sets the framework really atmospheric and epic  but this sweetness is turned into bitterness when the beat starts and the track goes full on big room with metalic tech trance sound that is driving, demanding, and dominating until to land on the cool and relaxing melodic breakdown. We are treated first class VIP with strong ethereal melody  and heart opening moments until the manic beats comes back once again to get you rocking in the middle of the dancefloor. Its not peak time but definitely really functional track that you can  start with your clubfloor massacre  or to use to keep the energy levels really high.
