Cosmic Gate drops their new single “The Theme” on the Black Hole imprint.
Sometimes the release of a superb new single sees the light of day thanks to a surprising course of events. The same happened with “The Theme”. In April Cosmic Gate contributed a mix for Armin's ASOT 500 Compilation. It was a mix full of classics from the late nineties up to the year 2000. One of these classics caught their full attention and so they made a re-edit of it for their DJ sets. Within the last months this re-edit became one of the biggest tunes in their sets and more and more fans and DJ colleagues started requesting it. So they thought, why not giving it an official release and here we go!?
The package of course contains the full lenght original version and also a radio friendly edit. Let’s see what station will pick this bomb up first. And for those who don't remember the original, let's reveal the secret right here: it's Jurgen Vries - The Theme!
Dimitri Kechagias review: I was glad to meet Cosmic Gate at Tomorrowland festival in Belgium and check out their dj set at Above & Beyond "Group Therapy" stage and once again Dj Bossi and Nic were amazing with fantastic crowd reactions and both were looking totally and utterly connected with their fans enjoying every little second of their explosive performance . The idea to bring back the Jurgen Vries track with that large big room unforgetable epic riff is superb and is actually working so well with their own deep fat bassline. Definitely one of the big anthems for this summer festivals and club sets. Cosmic Gate coming back strong! Fat prog tech trance German style! This is the official theme for the Summer of 2011. Its already really large at Beatport trance chart.
