Dimitri Kechagias review: Heartik brand new ep on Kling Klong includes great originals and very strong remixes too. Meltdown will bring back memories of Detroit house and of course the superb Kevin Saunderson classic will come straight away in your mind. The way he samples it and re-arrange it in his own unique tech house style is simply fantastic so expect to see this great version crossing over from strictly tech house sets to more mainstream house sets as well. It has all the potential to become the peak time monster tune. Second track by Heartik on that EP is cool Far from Chicago. As we can sense from the brilliant title the track updates to recreate in modern tech house way the Chicago house styles. So hypnotic, addictive and groovy even tribalish its impossible not to feel your foot taping on it and your body feeling it. Basic Flap is the 3rd original that has a more big room Carnival latin feel in  a retro sampling style with big classical piano riff in the breakdown that will attract your audience for sure. The remixers are the finest you can get with Mihai offering a very cool and funky alternative quite different from the original with less Detroit house samples in it. Spencer Parker goes deep mini tech house style that can work really well in small clubs to warm up those body engines. Overall an excellent release that stands out in the tech house scene. Mark: 10/10
