ADE 2017: Get to know Kiasmos at ADE Sound Lab

Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen will talk about their creative child, discussing how their latest release, the Blurred EP, came about before performing at the Concertgebouw later on Saturday.

Kiasmos is made up of the BAFTA-winning Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds, known for his unique blend of minimal piano and string compositions mixed with electronic sounds, and Janus Rasmussen from the Faroe Islands, better known as the mastermind of the electro-pop outfit Bloodgroup. Based in Reykjavík, Arnalds used to work as a sound engineer, and often worked on Rasmussen's other projects, which was where the two musicians discovered their common love of minimal, experimental music. They eventually became best friends, often hanging out in the studio for the fun of it while exploring electronic sounds. They’ll be discussing how their latest release, the Blurred EP, came about before performing at the Concertgebouw later on Saturday.
