Gai Barone, a name synonymous with quality music returns to Bonzai Progressive with the fantastic There's A Lady which comes backed up with a remix from Stan Kolev. His last outing for us came in March 2017 as he helped celebrate 25 years of Bonzai with his superb remix of Push - Universal Nation which became a top pick in many sets and gained numerous top spots on several download portals. Over the last number of years Gai has consistently churned out top quality cuts on various labels. He is a firm favourite on Bonzai Progressive as his brand of deep, flowing progressive house sits comfortably on the legendary label. His radioshow Patterns is listened to religiously by a worldwide fan base and he is held in very high regard by his peers, with many citing him as an inspiration to produce their own music. Great to have him back for more.
Gai's original mix gives us a solid slice of progressive house as the sound moves effortlessly creating a warm groove filled with lush tones and subtle melodies. A tight drum section complete with chunky kick drums and shuffling hi hats drives the track with a steady flowing rhythm. Expertly crafted basses bubble up from the depths delivering a deep and sublime groove. On the break a series of subtle melodies break out and are contrasted by short sharp stabs while a mysterious vocal lurks. Excellent stuff once more from this huge talent, not to be missed.
Based out of Miami Beach, Florida, Stan Kolev returns to Bonzai Progressive with a superb remix. We last got a taste of his unique talents on remix duties for Iga Dep's Fat Analog which proved popular among many. This guy has been churning out quality vibes for over 10 years and in that time he has turned his hand to many styles and genres. He focuses mainly on progressive house but you will find he can dish out top notch vibes in various genres with the same dedication and resulting quality. A very much revered artist by his peers, Stan inspires many to reach his standard. His back catalogue is mind blowing and he has appeared on many top rated labels over the years. On the remix here Stan dishes out a fine slice of progressive house filled with warm tones, tight drums and a deep grooving bassline. The melodies swirl throughout the track with ease and are joined by cool FX and rich strings. The bassline transforms from deep droning to a short riff style that creates a lot of movement in the sound making this an absolute must have.
