After the recent announcement about our festival, ADE LIVE and conference program we have another big announcement to close the week in style: avant-garde artist, composer and musician Laurie Anderson and composer Philip Glass will be present at ADE for a special concert.
An evening with Laurie Anderson and Philip Glass will entail a unique musical collaboration between two giants of the avant-garde of the past 50 years. Anderson is one of America’s most renowned—and daring—creative pioneers. She is best known for her multimedia presentations and musical recordings. There has been nothing “minimalist” about Philip Glass' output. His style is easily recognizable because of its use of repetition, particularly the repetition of small distinctive rhythmic and melodic cells, and its reliance on traditional diatonic harmonies. Today he is recognized as one of the most prominent composers of the 20th century.
