REVIEW: Yang - Phoenix Rise / Daisho out on Lange recordings

Canadian producer Yang returns to Lange Recordings with a stellar 2-track EP showcasing the experienced producer's superb, fresh approach to big room Trance - this is ‘Phoenix Rise / Daisho'.

Kicking off with ‘Phoenix Rise', Yang brings his cavernous sound back to the label with a booming, bass heavy journey through chugging leads, techy plucks and grinding FX to form a brilliantly matched opener that balances effortlessly between elegant breakdowns and a ferocious energy.

Completing the EP with 'Daisho' Yang perfectly displays his versatility as a producer with another brilliantly unique, chugging number which adventures through rippling, layered chords and brooding atmospherics to form a delicate cross-over Trance record utilising tight modern techniques with reminiscent chords.

An energetic, peak-time package from the Canadian, Yang is back with ‘Phoenix Rise / Daisho’.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Yang is on the rise with releases on the most prestigious labels. This latest EP on Lange recordings contains two modern big room neo trancers that particularly mainstage trance djs will adore. Phoenix Rise has punchy big room basslines, thumping playful drums and percussion while the breakdown is long and teasing with synthy plucks, heavenly voices and great atmosphere that captivates your minds. The climax is high-nrg enough to keep you sweating on the dancefloor. The massive Daisho is darker moodier and tech trance perfect for those who like it rougher with solid percussion, earth-shuttering electrified basslines and top notch breakdown that leads to big tech trance dark and greedy climax. #PureGold Love it [/content]
