REVIEW: Albert Marzinotto - Celestial Vault EP out on Sony Music Entertainment Italy

For his debut EP on Sony Music, Albert Marzinotto delivers six tracks that reflect as many fascinating music declinations of an imaginary sky.

"Cosmo" is a delicate introduction to a trip through galaxian territories where there is room from the electronic dub atmospheres of "Lollygag In The Galaxy" till the relaxing downtempo with strings of "Mercury's Castle", to evolve into the dreamy deep house of "Glance Through The Stars". In "Otherworldly Heavens" the groove gest more robust and embraces the irresistible piano that carries the listener between galaxies and distant stars. The closing of the EP is about broken beats, filtered voices and the elegant sax of "The Planets". "Celestial Vault EP" clearly offers the witness of the composing talent and the eclectic spirit of this young Italian rising star..

Albert Marzinotto is a 26 years o ld Italian dj and producer from Venice. Piano and guitar player, his musical approach is surprisingly deep, mature and open minded. His live technique combines vinyl, cd players and drum machines to build a fascinating, multi-coloured and explosive music journey into house music. As producer he collaborated with Pirupa and Tapesh while his original tracks and remixes appears on labels like Sony Music, Sonar Kollektiv, Snatch!, Lapsus, King Street and EGO, collecting support from Solomun, Marco Carola, Nic Fanciulli, Luciano, Loco Dice and Steve Lawler. He recently won the last edition of TOP DJ TV show produced by Sky and hosted by Albertino, Stefano Fontana and Lele Sacchi.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Albert is born to be a dj and you can feel that when you watch him playing and enjoying himself behind the decks. His first EP on Sony Music is not as pumpy or clubby as someone may have expected to be. He rather focus on musicality, depth and sonic textures and creates an EP that contains chill out and deep house tracks with colourful sounds, great melodies and clever spoken vocal samples. I don't want to pick a favourite as all of them are dreamy and clever perfect for any Cafe Del Mar Dj set. Looking forward for something more powerful and dynamic like his debut single on Top Dj show. #PureGold Love It .[/content]
