Robert Hood and his team, Vello Virkhaus (V Squared Labs), Jes Elliott (SXSW) will be present at ADE's three day program put together specifically for students interested in working in the entertainment industries.
We kick off this year's series of lectures and presentations with Dutch PR legend Jose Woldring (NL), who works closely with Martin Garrix (NL) and other acts. She will be revealing what it’s really like at the sharp end of PR management in A Day in the Life of The Media Nanny.
Media management & the story behind streaming
Media management once again comes to the fore with The Changing Sound of B Traits, recounting the story of B Traits successful switch from Drum & Bass DJ to being the face of BBC Radio 1's techno show. The panel will explain the role played by her management companies and her agent. And if you ever wondered why events invest in video material and streaming, we've invited Mark Loonen (NL) of MRK1, the company that makes after movies for many big events, and Robert Buisman (NL) of live broadcast company NOMOBO, whose clients include Ultra Miami, Defqon1, and Hardwell’s United We Are world tour kick-off.
Meet the team behind...
Curious about the stories behind setting up mega events? The organizers of The Flying Dutch and Don’t Let Daddy Know will be at ADE University to reveal all the ins and outs. And in case you were wondering what it takes to make the career of a globe-trotting megastar like Robert Hood (US) run like clockwork, come and meet The Team Behind Robert Hood, and find out what real teamwork is all about. Visual mastermind Vello Virkhaus (US), the founder of LA based V Squared Labs, will talk about his amazing career and his experiences of working with Steve Aoki, Amon Tobin and Skrillex, as well as producing the stage sets for Coachella Festival and Ultra Miami, among many others. A second Team Behind session will feature the people who keep Nicky Romero’s multi-faceted career on the straight and narrow. And finally, Jes Elliott (US), dance and electronic music programmer of SXSW, will talk about his experiences setting up a house music area in the middle of the indie rock stronghold that is Austin, Texas.
And finally, we are well aware that getting a place at ADE University isn’t easy, so we kept a few places back for each day, and you can apply for a pass by signing up here. The lucky winners will be chosen on the 1st of October.
