REVIEW: Mr Sam vs. DJ Furax - Nikoomook out on Appia / Black Hole records

1. Mr Sam Vision
2. Mr Sam vs. Max Tiger IZZY Remix
3. Thomass Remix
4. DJ Furax Remix

Mr Sam is taking over with a brand new release on his Appia Music imprint carrying the interesting name of ‘Nikoomook’. Not only the name is special, the track and its remixes are as well, making it a very varied package. The Mr Sam Vision is a sturdy techno track, followed by a more rhythmic techno mix on which he teams up with Max Tiger for their IZZY remix. Belgium’s Thomass adds his electro touch to ‘Nikoomook’ while DJ Furax takes you on a hard dance ride in his mix. A unique package, enjoy!

Mr Sam has been around in the music industry for almost two decades already, displaying his own musical style and showcasing his DJ skills since 1995. His very first production was released in 1999 and since than Mr Sam has been releasing remixes, artist albums, compilations and many tracks on various labels and of course his own Appia Label.

Dimitri Kechagias review:  Appia is one of those labels that constantly surprise us with futuristic forward thinking releases. It's about time to enjoy the coming back of Mr Sam along with Dj Furax. The result of their collaboration is the fantastic smasher Nikoomook. The track is definitely not what you usually expect from Mr Sam's trance past. Together they deliver the goods in the shape of full on banging, booming, fat and furious techno meets EDM party crasher. Rough beats to the core, aggressive snake charming basslines, excellent application of industrial music melodies, very cool vocal samples and clever breakdown with opera samples and old school rave samples. It actually remind me the Belgian school of hardhouse/ industrial techno with Dj Ghost and many others. Perfect choice for mainstage sets this summer cause it will simply sound ultra large on big summer soundsystems. Mr Sam vs. Max Tiger IZZY Remix is the more funky and very groovy techno version that will recall the classic Mauro Picotto tracks in his BXR years. Thomass remix  is the massive progressive house meets electro house meets Belgian hardstyle version. If you follow Hardwell and his label this remix is perfect for jumping and pumping around dj sets. Dj Furax continues the hardhouse meets techno sound with fantastic punchy basslines, dinosaur size kicks and great application of the classic opera vocals used in many rave classics in the past. If you had the idea that all big room house tracks sounds the same better check this release, you will change your opinion immediately. Love IT
