Dimitri Kechagias review: Hungary is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe and is also the birthplace of many well known Electronic Music artists. Roland Sandor is one of the young talents that makes slowly his presence with quality releases. His latest EP that is already out for nearly a month on Fenology records, the top trance label headed by the legend and music entrepreneur Woody van Eyden, includes two very strong underground tracks that stand out from the rest because of the new ideas and fresh approach. Sleepless in Budapest is nearly 10 minutes big room progressive trance composition that breathes fresh air. Groovy chunky beats, deep haunting basslines, melodramatic strings, addictive dark and sinister synthy hook that nicely lead us on the long breakdown that will impress you without doubts. The fantastic violin melodies will give you goosebumps and the whole classical orchestral music theme will inspire and travel your mind like a white dove in the sky. Of course the same theme is replayed with the destructed rave style synthy lead that nicely builds the tension towards the big climax. His climax continues quite techy and groovy with little synthy melody replaying the theme and leading the track to its end. The Sluice remake is a very different version with old school trance feeling that will adopts the groove from the tracks coming from the late 90's without doubts. The 2nd track Somnambulism is the deeper tech trancer that will be adopted from djs who like the Coldharbour recordings sound. It is moody, gothic, dreamy and punchy at the same time. The breakdown reveals the main synthy lead that works on the subconscious rather than being the in your face type melody. His climax remains deep and mysterious with the addition of that nice synthy lead to help your senses flow nicely along and dance the night away. Love iT
