REVIEW: Audio Noir - Earthcall out on Bonzai Progressive

Audio Noir has been very busy of late as he continues to pour out top quality productions from his Australia based studio. This two tracker, 'Earthcall' is his latest creation and comes off the back of the very popular 'NY Xpress'.

'Earthcall' sets us off on a wonderful deep progressive journey as the track intros with plump kicks and rhythmic percussions along with a helping of dark synth pads that rise and fall with the groove. As the layers build a superbly crafted bassline enters the fray taking the track deeper into the progressive sound. Brilliant stuff yet again and bound to attract much attention like his previous outings.

'Australian Epic' is up next and gives us a cool percussion led intro which starts off very subtly and ends up with a full on, beautifully constructed drum section accompanied with a myriad of quality FX work. After a short break we are treated to some powerful kicks and a sublime bass driven groove. A beautiful pad sits on top and delivers a nice melodic distraction from the deeper side of the track. A truly epic experience not to be missed.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Audio Noir is definitely one of those artists that have immense abilities and we aint seen nothing yet from their huge talent. His latest EP includes the title track Earthcall and Australian Epic. Earthcall is a beautiful magnificent deep progressive house meets techno track that has as a mission to impress and stand out. Deep haunting basslines, techy tribalish beats that create the very distinctive exotic groove and on top dark melodic themes and even acid overtones. Hypnotic, magical production that requires your mind, body and soul to be interconnected and alert through its duration. Australian Epic has more experimental vibe. It starts with strange break beat like introduction and after a short breakdown we are carried away towards the more pumping upfront part with beefy techy beat and deep haunting basslines while on top are added cinematic strings and spacey airy pads along with slightly distorted vocal samples. The breakdown is magnificent with melodramatic strings and trancy voices that lead us to the final bouncy sequence with quite aggressive basslines and various cinematic samples that build the exceptional atmosphere. This is art not a product. Love iT
