Anticipation is high as music fans descend into Chicago for Lollapalooza this weekend.
Before the action starts, city natives KREWELLA will return for a special hometown performance at VEVO’s official pre-party, celebrating the premiere of their “Live For The Night” video with the major online destination on Thursday, August 1.
“Live For The Night” will appear on KREWELLA’s debut full-length studio album GET WET out September 24 on Columbia Records.
“Flag raising synths and fiery vocals fuel the latest single from EDM whiz kids Krewella, with singers Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf earnestly channeling various best-selling pop divas and producer Kris ‘Rain Man’ Trindl piecing together another intense arrangement,” wrote Nick Williams of BILLBOARD (8/3/2013) in his review of the single.
Its complementing video—created by Aggressive, the Grammy-Award winning directing duo of Alex Topaller and Dan Shapiro, whose credits also include works for Megadeth, Stone Temple Pilots and Kill Switch Engage--captures the trio set in a small town after an apocalyptic blackout with KREWELLA luring the town’s youth to their power plant lair turning into an explosive major late night party.
In conjunction with the album release, KREWELLA (sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf along with Kris “Rain Man” Trindl) will launch their GET WET LIVE tour September 5 in Austin.
The explosive live show that features live vocals by Jahan and Yasmine and a brand new super structure called THE VOLCANO will travel to over 50 venues across North America.
Prior to the GET WET LIVE tour, KREWELLA will appear at the VELD Festival in Toronto and Electric Zoo in New York City, among other shows.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Krewella are rocking the club systems with their amazing EDM tracks. After the massive Alive with Hardwell remix and their collaboration with Nicky Romero in his own record label its time for the latest anthem Live For The Night. The package includes 3 top versions. Except the explicit radio mix the two versions for the djs is the Mixshow edit that is absolutely marvellous with euphoric synths, banging booming beats and dirty squeaky in your face basslines. Powerful and energetic to the maximum with bass music / dubstep influences and urban music elements too. This is what typically can describe as the EDM USA based sound. Straight from the land of superstar djs comes the hot duo W &W who rocked the German crowd in their magnificent performance at Nature One festival. Their remix starts all bouncy until to land on a beautiful piano dominated breakdown for the lovely vocal to come to the surface until to unleash their huge like fireworks in EDM festival synths. Their climax is ultra hard and spacious with hard dance/hard style influences to it! The two crowd favourite Dutch boys did their magic once again and they deserve to ride high! Love IT
