JES presents her brand new single "Unleash The Beat" on the Magik Muzik imprint.
As many will know, "Unleash The Beat" made its first appearance as a track on JES' acclaimed "High Glow" album. The album featured such great singles as “Lovesong”, an absolute state of the art remake of the The Cure classic; “High Glow”, a collaboration with super star DJ and producer Tiësto and the intimate, acoustic “All Night”, which critics hailed as a classical composition for strings, organ and piano. It was clear that JES had delivered a massive album that found a perfect balance between electronic dance music, pop, rock and classical influences. The original album version of "Unleash The Beat" kept lingering in every DJ's mind and was played to the hilt; the song now finally sees its well deserved release in a superb remix package.
"Unleash The Beat" shows why JES is still the Queen of Rocktronica and the remixes of Dr. K & Nii vs. SHIHA, Jeff Retro and DJ Pushkin have re-invented the original version for the dance floors of the future. Killer hit single that truly lives up to its title!
Dimitri Kechagias review: We were waiting with huge anticipation about the IDMA nominee JES to return with her brand new single. The queen of Rockotronica returns upon her throne and delivers her magnificent anthem Unleash the Beat. The original mix is a modern electro pop track with 80's overtones and some cool rock touches as well. JES voice is fresh and lovable as ever and her performance emotional but very energising. The rhythm has certainly addictive qualities so you will be stuck in your mind for long. The remix package will surprise you as the remixers add their magic to push the original to a higher level. Dr. K & Nii vs. SHIHA Remix is a powerful energising pumping progressive trancer that will become prime time choice contender straight away. Jeff Retro’s Lost In Las Vegas Remix will make you feel uplifted and in the perfect party mood in just the first seconds. The beats are rough and furious, the basslines are thunderous and the synths with their rave old school melody will drive any clubber crazy. Its hard to place it within certain genre category but i can imagine prog house and trance djs dropping it with the same reactions. Lastly DJ Pushkin’s Big Room Mix as the name suggests is a superb make over for the epic prog house Swedish style sets. Tough proggy beats, maddening booming basslines and great guitar melody in the breakdown to add that melancholic touch to it before the euphoric outburst of energy in the climax of this unstoppable club Taurus. This is JES as we love her to be. Love iT!
