REVIEW: Steve Anderson & BRM - Leith Walk out on ITWT / Black Hole recordings

1. Original Mix
2. Dub

Steve Anderson and BRM present their debut single "Leith Walk" on the In Trance We Trust imprint.

Steve Anderson made his first steps in the music industry as a high ranking drummer. After performing around the UK in various bands in his teens, Steve fully moved into electronic dance music in 1994 and had various residencies for many years. From 2001-2004 Steve attracted a large following across Scotland as a result and thereafter began working as a trance producer and label owner. Since 2004 he has toured extensively, moving into music production and joining forces with Chris Breame to create the hugely popular trance duo A/B Project. In the past years, huge hits like “Eternal Optimism”, “Misconceptions”, “Neve”, “Another Time”, “Relentless” and “Before Long” all underlined the brilliance of the two producers. Steve was also the first ever Trance artist to be awarded “One For The Weekend” by National BBC Radio One.

"Leith Walk" already made the rounds in Steve Anderson's own radio show and now sees a well deserved release on the In Trance We Trust imprint. DJs that are into energetic, fast BPM trance can brace themselves. Powerful beats, driving synth programming and a massive break, it's all there. This is one of those peak time bangers for the big rooms and large events. Tune.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Steve Anderson is an amazing passionate artist who loves and breathes trance 24 hours a day with great friendly personality too. He is a  warm hearted Scotsman and this is reflected in his productions like his latest one with BRM for the superb progressive trance smasher Leith Walk on the legendary best trance label of all times In Trance We Trust. I met twice Steve in Germany at Nature One festival and I always had the best impression for him. Leith Walk has the warmth of the feel good progressive trance with tribal techy beats, electro influenced basslines  and epic euphoric synths in the huge breakdown. The main part stays cool, calm and groovy and doesnt go over the top for the big super exciting pay off moment you were waiting for.  His  production has a certain depth that will appeal particularly to the many supporters on the progressive/neo trance sound. Steve has a lovely voice and his vocal is the finest you can get. In my opinion he is one of the best male trance vocalists and he should certainly do more collaborations as vocalists and why not an album on ITWT too. It would be cool to add an uplifting remix too that Steve is so able to produce. Cold snowy Nights need Warm tracks and this is the perfect excuse to put yourself in a trance party mood. Love iT!
