Altough Robot Koch has an international reputation as being „One of Europe´s finest producers of the beat generation“ (Low End Theory), he is much more than just a beatmaker.

Hailing from Berlin, Robot Koch released three albums since 2009 and toured internationally, playing shows and festivals in the US and all over Europe.

He is also just the mastermind behind the critically acclaimed band Jahcoozi (BPitch Control) and works as a producer and composer for both indie and major artists worldwide.

Now he is back in the studio, working on his 4th studio full length which will be his first major label release (Four Music/Sony Music).

This EP is the kick off and boasts some remixes by Synchro (R&S), Creep (Young Turks) and Sun Glitters.

Robot Koch collaborates again with vocalist John LaMonica (featured on Robot´s last album „The Other Side“).
The concept of the album is different to his early works.

It´s a brand new project entitled „ROBOT`S DON´T SLEEP“; a band project that takes the songwriting and melody-focus of „The Other Side“ to a next level and focuses on vocaltracks entirely.

Some press Quotes:
Wonderful and strange --- pop music from the future.” (John Peel/BBC/UK)
"A middle ground between the far-out experimentation of Brainfeeder and the futuristic pop of artists like Jamie Lidell, The xx, and Jimmy Edgar.” (XLR8R/USA)
"A gothic galactic aesthetic of ten ton beats and space age melodies." (Dazed and Confused)
"Sounds like artificial intelligence discovering religion. Essential listening!” (BBC/UK)

Dimitri Kechagias review: Robot Dont Sleep present his brand new EP that includes great originals and very strong additional remixes. Little White Lies and So Bad are the two tracks that  move in different surprising directions. Little White Lies is futuristic atmospheric electro pop with real soul and some mysticism that I like to inspect within the tracks in order to start challenging the listener and allow him to imagine and travel to far away places like this top track does of course.  The vocal is the  finest that you can get within the context of that style. A voice that sounds unreal and soulful at the same time. Little White Lies is unresting, unpredictable and very epic as well. CREEP remix moves to even more atmospheric directions and dives in the deeper waters of chill out/dub with some drum n bass too. You press play and you get what I call a dramatic sonic adventure. So Bad on the other side is more like a retro future jazz style track that make you think of cold nights in cosmopolitan cities like Berlin or London. Electro, breaks, dub mixed up with jazzy soulful influences and the result is absolutely breathtaking. Sun Glitters remix continues our journey on the tech side of EDM  with deep bassline, rougher  beats and distorted vocals creating another mysterious puzzle of great sounds. Synkro Dub mix is relaxing, atmospheric, perfect for lazy Sunday afternoons and for that come down period after an intense club night. With dubstep, electronic influences and the jazz style vocals get ready for a night ride. Quality sounds. Love IT!
