Dutchman Bram Troost makes his debut on Armada’s Pilot 6 Recordings, and one hard to pigeonhole. ‘Gorillas In The Tech’ makes the beats of techno flirt with the feel prog-house feel of summer.
He’s never been a one-trick-pony. Producer Bram Troost, who’s recently collaborated with the likes of Ruben de Ronde and usually works under the Jinx moniker, has always kept an open mind to various styles. ‘Gorillas In The Tech’ tells us no different. Kicking in with a tech-house rhythm, while unfolding into a piano-drive prog-houser, and falling right back into the deep, contagious bass of tech, makes this a playful and thought-provoking pool of diversity.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Pilot6 is the progressive house label of Armada Music that gives space to wide diversity of sounds and styles that move of course within the realm of what we pigeonhole as progressive. Bram Troost production Gorilla's in the Tech is definitely an eye and mind opener as it combines the darker tech chunky beats with the summery feel good balearic style piano melodic riffs. It can be used in a great set to bridge the tech house choices with the more melodic progressive house flavors. With the mind on the dancefloor and packed with contrasting sound colours and emotions certainly its a Gorilla size track that is better to drop it and let it speak the language of music rather than writing a long essay around it! At the end of the day quality is self evident on this club burner so let it rolling and see the audience get seduced by it instantly. Love iT!
