REVIEW: 4Frame vs. Eric G - Top Floor out on Dangerbox

4Frame vs. Eric G - Top Floor (Silva's Deep Remix)
4Frame vs. Eric G - Top Floor (4Frame's 2011 Mix)
4Frame vs. Eric G - Top Floor (Avion Remix)

Eric G was the artist name "4Frame" had before he became "4Frame." Dangerbox's 32nd release titled "Top Floor" was written under the Eric G name. Today it is common for a producer to look back at a golden production of his, and remake it, in todays "Style" just for keeping things fresh. If you look back at our catalogue "DANGBX032 - Eric G: Top Floor", you can listen to the original. Although I feel there really isn't anything wrong with the original at all, 4Frame decided to do a remake for this year. Lets just say another version of "Top Floor" that isn't that bad. 4Frame's new approach gives it more of a tech house vibe, but also has that kind of mysterious bounce rhythm 4Frame loves to do with his melodies. A great remake, for an awesome track.

On top of the remake, we decided to get two db producers on this ep, to give "Top Floor" some extra flavor. Silva adds a twist to the track giving it a nice, deep house vibe, PERFECT for opening sets. Avion once again delivers us a new change in direction with his uplifting style. I can picture it being difficult to remix such a track as "Top Floor" , coming from Avion's background of Uplifting Trance, but he gets away with it, and does it again. Avion's remix is full of energy, with his very own signature lead leaving the track emotionally disturbed.

We hope you enjoy.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Top Floor comes back once again with a very intresting new version. The 4Frame's 2011 Mix on the package is groovy melodic prog trance version that is quite minimal with playful atmosphere and great melancholic twist in the main melodic theme of the track that turns it into a highly atmospheric mysterious romantic track that will make you close your eyes and imagine that you are on the Top Floor and you decide to fall down out from the window without knowning whats coming next. Silva provides the deep prog house version that is very loungy chilly perfect for the next Cafe Del Mar, Ibiza type compilation. Avion's version goes to the other side of the spectrum with a big room uplifting version that is straight to the point,  driving to its finest and with amazing use of that melancholic melody in the breakdown. Expect an ultra large drum roll and then the hands in the air parts waits to get on board your punters and send them to stay at the Top Floor. Its great to see how that melody can be used in variety of styles and always add certain atmosphere to them. Great idea for Dangerbox team to  give the track second life!
