REVIEW: Dimitri Vegas - Like Mike, Yves V & Angger Dimas - Madagascar [Smash The House]
1-Original vocal
2-Dub mix
Coming off the back of their enormous remix alongside Axwell on David Tort’s “One Look” (Axtone Records), which received rave reviews and airplay around the world, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike return with a release on their own label Smash The House Recordings - “Madagascar”, available on June 27th.
Teaming up with Indonesian electro-dance prodigy Angger Dimas and upcoming hotshot Yves V, this is another synth filled bass heavy track from the Belgian duo, which is sure to become a mainstay on the festival circuit.
Championed by the world’s greatest, such as Tiesto, David Guetta, Axwell, Bob Sinclar, Dada Life, Eddie Halliwell, Tommy Trash and many more... Madagascar clearly paves the way for what’s to come next….. The Tomorrowland Anthem 2011, featuring none other than Afrojack and Australian pop-royalty the Nervo twins.
The news doesn’t stop there – an upcoming remix competition could win one lucky person the chance to spin in the Smash The House arena at Tomorrowland in July.
Details will be announced very soon so be sure to keep your eyes on the Official Facebook Page, so go now and Like them!
Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the finest example of bright, young, happy and dynamic duo to expode in the house scene are Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike that manage in a short period of time to attract attention and play on the same stage with historic names in EDM such as the always cutting edge DJ Tiesto. After a serious of gigantic singles like last years Tomorrowland 2010 anthem, the boys return in the scene of the crime with another party stomper that is destined to make big waves and see series of A List djs lined up behind it and support it as it is simply BIG ROOM CROWD PLEASER. All the trance grandmamas and grandpapas outhere will recognise the main theme of the track that is coming from the classic by Simon Berry's influential trance project Art of Trance. Madagascar in its various remixes is still played by many trance jocks and now its about the right time for the epic house/nu rave/electro house scene to enjoy it as well. You can expect fat stomping tough electro beats that lead us on the best possible way in the first break that this gigantic "Magadascar" riff is unleashed. You can expect thousands of clubbers going ballistic on that particularly in Belgium at this years Tomorrowland festival. The track uses a really cool vocal sample Dont Touch This Stereo and then the manic nu rave big bad beats are returning to make you crazy and totally out of your heads. The last break will bring waves of joy when the two large synthy riffs will wash away any pain like the cold water from the fountains or in the blue sea. Overall its definitely one of the most important tracks of the summer along with this years Tomorrowland anthem that will be released really soon. You Better Touch This Stereo and press play, You will Love Madagascar!
