not trippin

Dibby Dougherty & David Young are a duo on fire right now. Their last release was signed up exclusive to bedrock for mr Digweeds latest album... and now we are sooo excited to present this massive pack of mixes on 'Not Trippin'

Featuring the vocals of Polarsets, the original is the a deep techno gem , brooding & bubbling with retro synths, and perecy fx, and a vocal that tips a nod to the 80s... already canned by the likes of Sasha

First on the remix duties is Eelke Kleijn and his trippin mix, dark falling bassline, subtle industrial drums and a clear pronounced vocal give this techno monster a massive big room moment feel.. and for those not feeling vocals, he has kindly provided a super dub!

Omid 16b provides the next remix, and a truly epic one it is.. like trainspotting meets tenaglia, all wrapped in in 13 minutes - yes 13 mins! - of truly wondrous house music, effected rolling rhythms, techno synths & bass all surrounded by popping drums left right & center. a carefully crafted journey which is sure to become a staple on the white isle this summer

Lastly Davi gives us his take on the tune, a skippy energetic number, with grungy donna summer like bassline, swirling swathes of synth and clever production , using just effected slices of the vocal making a truly dynamic mix

To say we are all just a little excited about this package, would be a bit of an understatement

Dimitri Kechagias review: Dibby and David provide one of the hottest progressive house releases for this summer. If some people out there  aspire for a resurection of the golden era of british house scene definitely this package helps on that direction. The original is already well known and supported thanks to its great warm basslines and that electronic texture that is an audio pleasure to be taken by it along with the mysterious vocals that put you on an instant trip despite declaring "Not Trippin". The remix package is pretty large with Omid 16B being the largest not only for its 13 minutes duration but also for its wonderful construction that is hypnotic, sensual but not sensible and definitely full of chunkiness and funkiness that adds extra class to the already cool original. Eelke Kleijn remix is more upbeat prog house version with dubby dark and cinematic atmosphere. DAVI remix is the more bright electro disco house influenced version that grows and blows in your face. Big release for sure not to be missed.
