After last year's anthem for the Art Of Dance event Fabulous in November (the amazing The Grand by Sherry Flavour & Tara McDonald), the 2011 Pleasure Island theme tune is again of heavyweight proportions. No one less than the mighty Marco V was willing to create this anthem and damn, what an anthem it is.
Notorious for his epic melodies, Mr. Melody Sherry Flavour wrote and composed the melody riff, with Marco V on deck working his magic in the studio to create Rock The Boat, a tune to be filed under “large”. Rock The Boat is this week’s Tune Of The Week on Dance-Tunes and already found its way into the UK Buzz Charts.

Dimitri Kechagias review: What can I write for Marco V who is considered to be as one of the most influential figures in the trance and lately prog house scene. He counts endless numbers of hits and now he puts his magic to deliver an anthem for one of the finest open air summer festivals in Holland. As you can expect the track has all the elements that someone is searching for in order to characterize it as an anthem. Marco adopts for this track a prog house bassline along with great tribal beats on that style that characterize him for endless years. His ability to produce instant hit records is proved once again when the track reaches the large breakdown that the melody written by Sherry Flavour slowly appears with gigantic size synths that will be pretty impossible to not scream and shout on the dancefloor. It definitely reminds the greatness of his old time classic Lovestruck by Southiside spinners. Its intense and powerful as you wanted to be and ready to make millions of dance fanatics dance along with it. Expect to see this great release on countless of Ibiza Anthems compilations and most importantly to crossover from prog house to tech trance sets too.
