TRANCE REVIEW: David Forbes - Apex out on Who's Afraid Of 138?!

10.0
Overall Score

If sound had a food chain, David Forbes’ latest on Who’s Afraid Of 138?! would be at the top. Armed with a scorching bassline, razor-sharp synths and a slamming drop, ‘Apex’ is a one-hit-K.O. record able to crack dance floors in two.

David Forbes - Apex10

Summary

David Forbes is an exceptional producer with endless creative resources. He strikes back big time with the stunning Apex. It's clear and to the point tech trancer that can get plays from techno and trance djs as well. He uses well the big tough and raw thumping kick and the dark nasty techno style basslines along with percussion and clever sound effects that manage to create a kind of rhythm and melody. The breakdown starts atmospheric and soon the wild and rough distorted Darude-style synthy riff comes to the forefront. Soon all the sweet and nice elements disappear for the rave style distorted synthy riffs to come at the forefront for an intense highly banging and very dynamic crescendo moment to keep the blood pumping for sure. #PureGold Love IT
