Best of 2018 Interview with DJ & producer Blaze Sulinski


21 of December, 1989, Poznań. City in the west of Poland and the city of birth of Błażej Suliński.
His adventure with music begun very early. At the age of 12 he already composed his own tracks which with time became better and better. Hard work and perseverance led him to his debut Riverside Ep which was released in 2008 by Addictive Global Records. He wrote many of his own tracks and remixes which were supported by artist's such as Markus Schulz, Daniel Kandi, Airbase, Paul van Dyk, Cosmic Gate and many others. Check his beatport page here



Dimitris: Can you rate 2018 for you as a year with 1 being very bad until 10 that is perfect year!

Blaze Sulinski: 8 very good year, I have managed to produce more music, release it and learn more about music production. 



1) Best 3 Tracks from other artists in 2018, please give us a short comment for each track:

Blaze Sulinski:

1. Rank 1 - L.E.D. There Be Light (Cosmic Gate Remix) - Great classic, reinvented. 



2. Cosmic Gate, Jason Ross - Awaken - Love it for great progressive bass-line with beautiful melody  



3. Andrew Bayer, Alison May - Immortal Lover - One of the best tracks and album of this year. Andrew is one of the best Trance/Electronic producers out there. 



2) Best Remix in 2018, please explain why you liked it so much:

Blaze Sulinski: Koelle - Lost Tribe (Ben Böhmer Remix) - I love Ben Böhmer's style with nice sin baselines and vibrant melody.



3) Best electronic music album in 2018? Please explain your decision why you think is the best album?(b) Do you believe that albums are still relevant or you prefer singles:

Blaze Sulinski: Andrew Bayer - In My Last Life  - One of the best electronic albums released this year. Technical perfection. Every track is made with the greatest detail possible. Every Andrew's production is second to none and he proved it again by releasing this album. 



4) Best artwork/cover for a single/ album or compilation released in 2018, please justify your opinion why this and not another one:

Blaze Sulinski: Disclosure - Ultimatum.  - This artwork is one of a kind. Without listening the track you already know how it will sound. 



5) Best online social media for 2018 and why you believe is the best particularly in 2018?:

Blaze Sulinski: Instagram. It has a lot of futures where artists can promote their work. You can reach more people by sharing what you're doing and additionally show your personal life to spoil your fans much better.

6) Best music composition software in 2018, please explain why you appreciate it so much:

Blaze Sulinski: Studio One 4. Recently I have discovered it and I must say that it has great futures and it is very intuitive. Best part for me is that it has detachable mixer view so you can focus on your mixing/mastering much better. 

7) Best radio show/podcast or Vlog(video blog) in 2018, please explain why you think this is the best radio show or vlog?:

Blaze Sulinski: ABGT radio show. Best radio show of 2018. You can hear basically new music every episode so it will give you fresh ideas to produce music. 



8) Best technical tips that you learnt in 2018 in relation to your DJing or music productions:

Blaze Sulinski: One of the best ones will be a Ghost kick for sidechain. This can be implemented very well in Ableton where you don't have to use your original Kick.  



Dimitris: Can you mention briefly your plans for your future releases, tracks, albums, collaborations, DJ gigs for 2019!

Blaze Sulinski: I'm working on new material every day so hopefully I will release more music in 2019.

Dimitris: Finally, what is your biggest wish for 2019 and give us your wishes for our readers?

Blaze Sulinski: I hope that 2019 will bring more great music and maybe we will see a new artists who can shake our Trance world little bit.
