REVIEW: Peter Steele - Zen & Nirvana out on Lost Language

10.0
Overall Score

We can't get enough of PETER STEELE here at LOST LANGUAGE, with his sound epitomising what we look for when it comes to classy, driving trance.

The original mixes of NIRVANA and ZEN received immediate support from SOLARSTONE, WILL ATKINSON, and CRAIG CONNELLY, with NIRVANA having an early release on BEN LOST's EXHIBITION VI compilation.

We couldn't be happier with JOHN DOPPING's return to the label, teaming up with STEELE for a pumping, twisted rework of ZEN, complete with a cameo from SALON magazines favourite skeptic.

It's great to have JAMIE BAGGOTT's back in the EL EL fold too, with a deep NORTHERN EXPOSURE-esque remix of NIRVANA, another one that has received support on SOLARSTONE's PURE TRANCE radio show.

Heaven and earth last forever.
They are unborn.
So ever living.

Peter Steele - Zen & Nirvana10

Summary

Peter Steele has manage to build great reputation for himself with support from the hottest names in trance community. His productions are classy and elegant with very nice melodic content and solid arrangement that ensures maximum satisfaction. Nirvana is powerful middle range uplifting trancer with driving energetic basslines, thumping drums while on top he adds hi-nrg synths, gated trancy voices and superb rhythm that recall old school trance vibes. Zen goes for deeper melancholic drive with heavenly voices, superb synthy lines progression upon the deep haunting basslines and wobbly pumping organic tribal drums. The remixes are well produced too with Zen getting the psy trance treatment with razor sharp basslines, plenty of acid overtones and great energetic groove that will hook you instantly for that spiritual fast and furious ride. Jamie is slowing doing the original Nirvana and goes for the ultimate dark moody tripping out version with superb trancy overtones keeping things simple and minimal for an unforgettable moment on the dancefloor. Quality package of the highest order. #PureGold Love iT
