Get ready for 25 Years Bonzai! This one will be the 6th annual event showcasing the sounds of the heydays of the rave scene in Belgium and beyond. Oh, and just to let you know, this year's event will be even bigger than any previous parties as Bonzai Music celebrate a major milestone at the forefront of an ever changing dance music scene.
On Saturday 18th November 2017 Bonzai Music will transform the vast Waagnatie into an immersive, energy fuelled space filled with slamming beats and buzzing synths pumped through a massive sound system accompanied by intelligent lighting and go-go dancers to deliver that full on electronic music experience. Bonzai will also have their exclusive range of merchandise on offer during the event, and to mark this momentous occasion they willl have some special items available.
Bonzai will be utilising 2 rooms, they've called the Red Room and the Black Room, at the venue to cater for those of you wanting to relive your younger days and for those searching for new experiences in music. To help them deliver the beat to your feet we've got 22 of the hottest local and international DJ's and artists lined up. The Red Room will feature the best of retro from the legend that is Airwave, the emphatic Jan Vervloet, Bonzai stalwart Yves Deruyter and the formidable Franky Jones. German techno and trance pioneer Talla 2XLC (Technoclub legend) will be making a return to Bonzai, he was responsible for Bonzai Germany back in the day and we know he'll bring the noise once again. A special appearance from DJ Looney Tune will see him play for the first time at a Bonzai party in Belgium, we had him at Bonzai Classics in Maastricht and he rocked. He had major success with Jumpin' & Pumpin' and Workstation in the 90's and from those tracks you will know he is a massive fan of Kraftwerk. Another special guest here will be Da Hool, of Meet Her At The Love Parade fame, a record that sold hundreds of thousands while licensed to Bonzai. This room will also host live PA from the prolific Zolex and the mighty Push as well as a rip roaring set from our main protagonists and without whom none of this would be possible, the Bonzai All Stars. MC Reign will oversee ceremonies here and you can be sure this room will be electrified.
The Black Room will play host to some of Europe's best Club DJ's including the groove weaver DJ Fire, progressive maestro Nico Parisi, the master Phi Phi, the energetic Bountyhunter, the club master Franky Kloeck and the pumping beat maker DJ Ghost. Jam El Mar from Jam & Spoon will make his first appearance at a Bonzai party. It's safe to say that J&S owned the early nineties with their brand of tripped out techno and trance grooves. More recently Jam (Rolf Elmer) delighted us with a seriously awesome remix of our much loved classic Cherry Moon Trax - The House Of House, which continues to perform very well indeed on the floors. The world renowned and much loved John 00 Fleming will also take to the decks, this guy is revered across the globe for his full on pumping sets that send the crowd wild every time. John runs the mighty JOOF and since he teamed up with M.I.K.E. on the 2002 cut - Icecream - we have enjoyed a solid partnership between our respective imprints, we're so excited he is playing at this one. Long time friend of Bonzai, DJ Jan is also playing one of our events for the first time. This guy has played at almost every other major party in Belgium and he has held a residency at Illusion since 1993. A powerhouse on the Belgian circuit, we're delighted to have him. Your conductor in this room will be the impressive MC Pyro, it just wouldn't be a retro event without this guy now would it? He will keep you on your toes and work up the frenzy, in style.
