REVIEW: Alberto Mantelli - Hoon EP out on Subjekt / Armada Music

Heavily focused on deep and dark textures and sounds that really get us grooving, Alberto Mantelli debuts on Subjekt Recordings. Through 'Hoon' and 'Resurrection', the Italian musician provides us with two sterling examples of how experimental music should sound, sure to fill the dance floor with those who take a great liking to Techno. We can't think of a better debut. Can you?

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Alberto Mantelli debuts with his Hoon EP on Subjekt recordings. Two tracks that prove Alberto's determination to break the boundaries and manage to compose his own language and find his own communication signs with his audience that is certainly out there waiting for him. Deep progressive forward thinking productions for the eclectic ears. On Hoon he adopts very tough dark pounding basslines, rolling drums and on top he adds cinematic sound effects and slightly distorted synthy  riffs that sound melancholic and threatening at the same time. Haunting mysterious and totally mesmerising for sure. Resurrection continues on the same moody isolated pathway with cold mechanical beats and basslines while on top the dark and sinister serious synths keep your head on the ground. Floating sounds  and great arrangement that proves that Alberto has a vision and give us hope for the future. #PureGold Love It[/content]
