REVIEW: Paul van Dyk - The Politics of Dancing 3 out on Ultra records

Kicking the EP off are Aly & Fila, who rework the Mark Eteson co-produced ‘Heart Like An Ocean’. Plucking ‘Heart’s most epic of strings, the Egyptians’ raise further rapture through Tricia McTeague’s empyrean vocals.

For the EP’s ‘In Your Arms’ interpretation, the track’s co-producer, Giuseppe Ottaviani takes matters into his own hands. Having already worked his magic on recent single ‘Lights’ (which DJ Mag scored “9/10” and gave Single of the Month honours to), here the Italian affects a second, supremely uplifting strike of his mix-lightning.

On his version, Iboga/J00F Recs regular Nicola ‘Liquid Soul’ Capobianco strips out ‘City Of Sound’s most euphoric genes, replacing them with his hallmark Goa & Psy strands. The Swiss producer brings Richter Scale-registering drums, polygraph-tense sub-riffs and lean, mean, acidizing FX forcefully to the foreground.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Paul van Dyk's stunning compilation The Politics Of Dancing included fantastic new tracks and collaborations with talented producers. The highly awaited remixes version is about to enter the stores and the sampler includes  3 top notch tracks not to be missed. Firstly the top notch City Of Sound co-produced with Jordan Suckley is remixed perfectly by Liquid Soul who adds his excellent psy trance kick and basslines along with certain emotional melodic snippets that appear for a little while. It is top version focused on the drive of the bassline and the spacey energetic feel that you get when is played in full power on any club. It will crossover to melodic and psy trance sets easily. Giuseppe Ottaviani gives his OnAir touch on his collaboration with Paul van Dyk called In Your Arms featuring the magical vocals by Fisher. Great energetic foundation of pounding drums, sharp kicks and full on basslines. Massive melody that haunts you and cast a spell on you straight away. Feel good colourful synths and emotional vocals honestly performed by Fisher makes instantly the difference with classy piano chords in the breakdown. Lastly Paul van Dyk & Mark Eteson feat. Tricia McTeague beauty Heart Like An Ocean is transformed into a massive peak time uplifting trancer with driving energetic basslines, pulsating drums and the classic PVD style melodies along with magical harp and guitar melodies in the long and teasing breakdown. Tricia vocals stand out from the crowd and Aly &  Fila support them to shine and bring you real happiness and joy! Vocal uplifting trance beauty that will be considered as classic! #PureGold Love It
