REVIEW: NVOY - Higher out on Black Butter records

Golden boys NVOY kick started things with All Night back in August, blending both fresh and more traditional club hallmarks for their debut label offering.

It was a promising start but ‘Higher’ is the most serious sign of life we’ve seen for the act so far. Premièred by Annie Mac and gaining decent support across the blogosphere, the lads are continuing to carve out a solid rep for their soulful future house.

Add to that the fact they've already turned out remixes for Lion Babe and Tove Styrke, and you're left with two very in-demand producers.

Dimitri Kechagias review: When you check out Black Butter records you usually taste something different and very unique indeed. The latest production by NVOY is called Higher and is difficult to describe with words the warmth and emotional power that this top record radiates. Spacey groovy arrangement, electroish basslines, lazy chunky techy grooves, soulful vocals and underneath vocal snippets along with a very magnificent breakdown that is relaxing and colourful with emotional synths  and vintage electro popish synths. The result is tripping out and perfect for those late night rides in the city with neo lights playing in the hypnotic rhythm of Higher! #PureGold Love It
