REVIEW: Elderbrook - Simmer Down incl The Six & Andhim remixes and music video out on Black Butter records

Welcoming Elderbrook to the BB family.

Could is the first track taken from his forthcoming Simmer Down EP. While the darker and brooding undertones formulate the structure of Elderbrook’s sound, there’s a glimmer of tempo and pace on the horizon.

The first instalment comes complete with an unique video courtesy of New York artist Lauren Gregory and a remix from new BB members The Six.

The second instalment includes the remix treatment of the release’s closing track How Many Times courtesy of Cologne natives Andhim.

Out November 24.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Black Butter records creates waves of interest with quality releases that for some may sound watered down and for others can be true gems that offer new breath of life in the electronic music scene. The new release by Elderbrook will definitely attract your attention straight away particularly if you watch the very unique music video that highlight the beauty that is this track. The original mix is an electronic adventure of sounds with retro sounding male vocals, lazy grooves underneath and cinematic atmosphere to drift away to the magical soundscapes that Elderbrook builds so skillfully for us. The Six remix turns the original into a very danceable deep house affair with 90's revival garage house sound, additional vocal samples and upfront atmosphere that will make it instantly a future favorite. If you like it glam or sleazy underground this release has everything for any taste so better Press Play! The second track of his top EP Simmer Down is the magnificent How Many Times. With retro romantic touches and haunting vocals the track manage to crawl under your skin easily and touch your soul straight away. If you want something more danceable and ready for deep house excursions don't miss the Andhim remix. The beloved duo from Germany add their deep hypnotic grooves, pulsating deep basslines and superb piano melodies along with cinematic strings to create their own music sound sphere that is simply eargasmic and super sugar sweet. If you like it lazy, classy, moody with touch of summer don't miss this beauty!#PureGold Love It
