‘Life Of Scars’ is underpinned by a strong, if bittersweet, lyrical message.
The text offers enough to help one pause and reflect, allowing the listener the chance to really get in deep and become surrounded by the tune.
The combination here is deadly, and Shanahan clearly brings the necessary game to support Vegas’ skilfully concocted vocal track.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Cryon recordings is one of the newest born labels in Armada Music and manage to reach its mission to become an established name in the progressive house scene. With top releases so far the label put his mark in the modern EDM culture and becomes an essential part of it. The latest release comes from the hands of Shanahan who service the fantastic anthem Life Of Scars including emotional vocals by Vegas who has certain indie rock edge in his performance and remind me even Bryan Adams as well. The track is a straight forward uplifting progressive house banger with pumping groove, aggressive pulsating basslines and euphoric feel good colourful synths. The breakdown is the moment that the fantastic vocal appears upon the romantic emotional piano melody. The very strong lyrics is a strong asset of the track that any human soul can identify with them one way or another. The massive euphoric synthy lead appears and drive the track to its full on hands in the air euphoric climax that is the perfect excuse to let yourself go and party hard by jumping around. Of course the emotional impact of the lyrics and Vegas stunning performance is so powerful and obsolete that I can easily imagine some clubbers crying too. Emotional euphoric and highly danceable anthem with pop dance edge to it that deserves clubs and radio play! Love iT
