The HDE conference program is celebrating the end of musical genres (sort of) on a panel that features Yellow Claw, Coone and more. In Blurring The Lines we bring together four pioneers who have crossed and looked beyond the boundaries of the hard EDM scene. The artists talking about how and why they are happy to plunder anything and everything in search of new sounds, ideas and inspiration. This talented bunch will also talking about their multiple influences, how they make noises that shouldn't work together sound great, and how they ended up being that way in the first place.
Yellow Claw has proven itself to be an act talented in producing all styles of music, merging genre into genre. No wonder considering group members Jim Taihuttu and Nils Rondhuis both have different musical backgrounds but manage to combine their influences into a very successful blend. At HDE they will discuss the limitless world in which they have been living since their breakthrough.
Coone (photo) has always had a wide view on the hard EDM scene in general and the possibilities beyond. A cooperation with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and his close ties to Steve Aoki are merely the last examples in a career which was aimed at breaking rules. What inspired him?
Boaz van de Beatz is another definitive and compulsive genre blender. This celebrated producer is well known as the founder of Nouveau Riche Music and as someone who likes to paste together bits and pieces from rap, dubstep, grime and house, to name just a few of his sources. Winning the State Award for best producer underlines the growing and broad-based recognition of his singular talent.
The multi-talented Önder Dogan cannot be put into just one category. He creates hiphop both alone and teaming up with other big names from the genre. However, Murda Turk loves to jump off the single genre tram tracks, tapping into other influences and working with Psyko Punkz on the track "Love this Life".
