The Norwegian singer-songwriter Margaret Berger fed us her heart and soul. Her wonderful song "I Feed You My Love" with her unmistakable stage presence and rousing voice shined on this year's Eurovision Song Contest with great possibilities to win the contest.
Why is not difficult to understand: Margaret Berger brings all the ingredients for a global superstar. She has a good chance of a successful career that also characterized by longevity, which has become so rare in today's pop music scene. Thanks to her classic beauty, her great songs, the twist and its indescribable aura is always described as a captivating blend of her Nordic colleagues Björk and The Knife. However, the essentials are wonderful, strong, timeless electro-pop songs in her luggage, which justify the comparisons with these icons of pop music beyond doubt.
She was born in Trondheim and her extraordinary artistic talent was already apparent at the age of five years. Today, the studied musician is an absolute phenomenon, because in spite of her uniqueness, it is easy to identify with her.
With now 27 years, she can already look back at some very successful years in the music business: At the tender age of 18, she released her debut album "Chameleon" and was nominated for "Norwegian Grammy" for Best Newcomer. 2005 Berger won the prize for the exciting, but also quite controversial video for her single "Lifetime Guarantee". With her latest critically acclaimed album "Pretty Scary Silver Fairy" in 2006,she reached a point where it could no longer be dismissed out of hand that the young artist stood before a great career.

Today, Margaret Berger can choose the playing field on which she hangs out. But always, her unconditional love for art draws like a thread through her work. Be there. In the form of fashion projects, DJ performances or as a unique artist in the Norwegian underground electro scene
Also Berger himself issues a statement of who she is. And maybe it embodies in reality yes the perfect fusion of contrasts. Since there is also no coincidence that she describes her music in the same way: edgy, but beautiful. Hard, but also playful. Experimental, but also quite down to earth. And as complex as authentic.
Behind every great artist is usually a great team, and Margaret Berger is no exception. Wisely, she has teamed up with like-minded producers and label managers Robin Lynch and Niklas Olovson of "Macho Psycho" - true genius when it comes to producing international hits of a different kind. The two worked inter alia with musical greats such as Pink, Justin Timberlake or Vanessa Amorosi.
"I Feed Your Love" is a terrific start for Berger's new album and stands out in a refreshing way of the other contributions to the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. The song is pop music for thinking people, has haunting industrial elements and evidence of a commercial sensibility. Margaret Berger said before her performance the following words. "Such an opportunity can change your whole life. That's pretty intimidating, and this fear can also paralyze you. It is unnatural that a man acts before 120 million viewers. I therefore try to focus on a very simple fact: That's what I always wanted. I repeat the sentence every time before I go on stage. I know that I'm not just get into this situation, I've chosen me ... I'm already come a long way, and now it is time to take the next step. But you must also create my own space - without pushing the others aside, but by saying that I'm here now, and no one can take my place again. "
And so the world is waiting for the inevitable rise of Margaret Berger. No matter how it turned out in the end in Malmo, it gives us something real, rare and truthful, to which we can look forward.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Its true that this year's Eurovision song contest included some pop jewels that will remain as classics and will manage to have big success in the charts as well. One of the song that manage to stand out and shine is without doubts the exceptional Margaret Berger. She has such an impressive voice that seems to be the best voice for the brilliant composition I Feed You My Love. Usually in a happy fluffy contest as Eurovision we don't get often great tracks like this one. With industrial electro pop dark, mechanical, cold, mysterious feel and cinematic atmosphere(maybe in the next James Bond movie) I Feed You My Love is eclectic forward thinking pop at its very best. She deserved to reach the top position but as it seems the big crowds voted for the safe and traditional sounding Eurovision songs. Its time for the club djs to enjoy this top release with a stunning package of remixes.Robin Low remix is an ultra strong driving prog tech trance version with tough banging beats, in your face basslines and epic hi-nrg synthy stabs. Jay Hardway remix is moving on the epic prog house direction with Swedish house influences of course. Jumping and pumping beats, hard and heavy basslines and incredible breakdown with piano and breath taking build up for the massive epic hands in the air breakdown with a synthy melody that will stuck in your mind. Dan Miles & Di Ferro remix is big room festival prog house version with nu rave influences. Melodic soothing breakdown and rough and deadly distorted wild synths in the climax. Torus Flow remix is ultra hard for those who love house with touches of hard dance and Belgian industrial music as well. Lastly Macho Collective remix is an excellent liquid relaxing chilling ambient version to calm your senses and get even more in the mood of this top song. She deserves the number 1 position on the charts the coming months. Love IT!
