REVIEW: Gal Abutbul - Reborn & Activate out on Soundpiercing/Armada

1.Reborn (Original Mix)
2.Activate (Original Mix)

A booming bass is a joy forever. At least, it is when it’s the beat of Gal Abutbul that kicks in. The Israeli producer rocks us with two solid new additions, ‘Reborn’ and ‘Activate’.

Not a single Abutbul track that touched the speaker has left a man unmoved. Now that the sounds of ‘Made of Love’ and the rocking ‘Genelec’ have come to past, it’s time for a new fascination. Or two, in this case.

A perfect piece for the summer festivals and dark club nights, is the catchy ‘Reborn’. A playful tune with a synthy melody and warm proggy sound to it. ‘Activate’ walks the deeper edge of prog-trance, with a funky tech burst right after the break. Did you feel that booming bass?

Dimitri Kechagias review: Soundpiercing is the progressive trance record label at Armada Music and certainly the brand new release will become your favourite if you love trance that is open to influences and references to other styles and sounds. The two tracks included on this EP will serve well the big room trance sets. Reborn starts all grungy and techy with weird  bassline but soon it turns all bouncy and banging until to land on the breakdown that big synths are revealed from the deep to the surface performing the very epic and hands in the air theme. The climax is full on euphoric, melodic and cheerful perfect to bring a big wide smile in your face but always with playful groovy bassline and rocking drum beat. Its certainly a very creative track tailored made for the peak time. On the same path moves the equally shocking Activate. Hybrid progressive trance sound with tough  tribal drum beats, big epic synthy riffs to get your dancefloor its instant satisfaction.  Its stand out point is that booming freaky bassline and even some distorted rock quitars sounds that work together to get the body moving to feel the urge and rush of the new state in trance. Love It!
