REVIEW: SL Project feat. Jack Radics – No Matter out on Kosmo

SL Project feat. Jack Radics – No Matter, a positive feel good summer vibe track out now on Kosmo records

SL Project feat. Jack Radics – No Matter [Kosmo records]
1-No Matter extended mix
2-Niels Van Gogh remix
3-Yoshida and Bahil mix
4-Rainer Weihold melodic mix

Since he had his first No. 1 single chart hit in the UK with a Reggae version of “Twist & Shout” together with Chaka Demus & Pliers in 1993, Jack Radics has been one of the most successful singers from Jamaica. Again in 1999 he achieved high international chart positions with his single “No Matter”.

Now in 2011 Kosmo Records, in collaboration with Jack Radics, Niels van Gogh and the Sunloverz, have created a new version for the clubs, which combine thewarmth of Jack Radics voice with the exciting party energy of our club world. This record feels like having a sundowner at Negril beach in Jamaica and partying on until sunrise in Ibiza. And the Remix Package offers a nice alternative to the summery original. Niels van Gogh delivers one of his driving main floor anthems, while Genji Yoshida and Adrian Bahil’s mix has a terrace sort of feel to it. Last but not least Rainer Weichhold contributes his melodic minimal variation of the theme.

Fortunately all of the remixers were able to maintain the Balearic – Caribbean vibe of the song: “It don’t matter, life has never been better…”

Dimitri Kechagias review: When you observe around your city so much misery caused from shinny glossy bankers who ask for more money in expense of thedisadvantaged and poor people in this world, it seems that tracks like this can become an anthem for the simple and ordinary clubbing people to think positive and see the bright side of life. Kosmo records brings just in right time a track that encapsulates the feel good vibrations of summer. Jack Radics exceptional voice and deep meaningful lyrics add class and quality upon the wonderful bubbly beats. The extended version is the more radio friendly with lovely groovy cheeky bassline and the vocal in its full glory. The always on the spot Niels van Gogh provides the more upfront remix for the big rooms with huge drops, clapping hands effects and saxophone little riff. There is less vocal so the ones who like beats only action can enjoy. Yoshida and Bahil deliver a stunning deeper tech house version that has a hypnotic and late night feel to it. Imagine yourself driving the car cruising around the city in a hot summer night and in your stereo that remix as the perfect soundtrack. Finally, Rainer Weihold, the Kling Klong records boss, adds a stylish melodic late night mix with so much groove and funk that you can find yourself in just seconds shaking your body and nodding your head along with it. Summer just arrived and Kosmo delivers a feel good anthem, because at the end of the day whatever we may face in everyday life it’s better to stay cool and calm and shout loud “No Matter”…
