MUSIC VIDEO HIGHLIGHT/REVIEW: Pleasurecraft - Carny on Great Stuff

Pleasurekraft – Carny     [Great Stuff]

1-Pleasurekraft - Carny (Original)
2-Pleasurekraft - Carny (Jay Lumen Fraying Shoes ReProduction)
3-Pleasurekraft - Carny (Heartik & Rainer Weichhold Theatre Remix)
4- Pleasurekraft - Carny (Lasercraft 3D remix)
5-Pleasurekraft - Carny (Radio Edit)

After scoring one of 2010's biggest anthems with the ubiquitous Tarantula, Pleasurekraft return with another irresistible, charismatic big room groove – already counting plays from the UK 's biggest tastemakers, Radio 1's Pete Tong and Annie Mac.

Galloping beats and off-beat bass do battle in mischievous fashion on this colourful cut, with synth brass, cheeky little stabs, electro leads, organ chords and plucked motifs taking it in turns to fill in the gaps around the killer groove and keep your attention hooked. It's all topped off with another one of their distinctive, otherworldly, gated vocals, and taken to the nth level with big builds and bold flourishes of energy. The result is an infectious, fist-pumping delight which will surely be one of 2011's most memorable moments, and that once again shows this duo to be two of house & tech music's most innovative talents.

On the remix front, Hungary 's Jay Lumen continues his fine run of form that has seen him release on labels such as 100% Pure and Kling Klong with a percussive, funk-laced workout that drops us somewhere between filter house and groovy techno, with rolling fills and big throbs of bass. Label boss Rainer Weichhold teams up with Heartik on the other remix, taking a bit more of a “re-edit” approach, keeping plenty of the original's flavour intact and marrying it to rolling, incessant tech house beats for more of a consistent ride.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Pleasurekraft are on the role and this time they return with the track that is destined to take them all the way to mainstream daytime radio. It’s so witty, groovy and pleasurable that you are wondering what is coming next. Music samples with sound effects are mixed up in an explosive recipe that will make international dancefloors obey to its commandments. The remix package is very cool with Jay Lumen that I like a lot offering a lovely playful tech house mix for the more serious and underground audience. Mr Boss Rainer does his tricks and redits the track in a way that can fit a tech house set with minimal sound. In addition, there is a massive electro house remix  by Lasercraft 3D that sounds perfect for any  big room  set. Just released the excellent music video that was fully made with an i-phone that definitely means a lot about the use of new technologies in the film making. You don’t need large amounts of money to produce a glossy video, you need some great ideas like the ones included in this witty, funny and really underground music video. Mark: 10/10
