REVIEW: Ben Hennessy - In The Summer out on Black Hole recordings

1. Original Mix

Ben Hennessy definitely had the summer on his mind when he created this new release. ‘In The Summer’ is the perfect tune to that wonderful sunny season with a nice driving rhythm and slight groove.

Creative, talented, adaptable and a knowledgable content producer for radio shows and marketer on the electronic dance music scene, Ben Hennessy is an arriving "new talent" as he focuses his considerable skills in releasing his own tracks. Having worked with the likes of Jan Johnston, Molly Bancroft, Marcia Juell, Tristan D & Dave Pearce and with recent tracks supported by Judge Jules, Ferry Corsten, Rank 1, Roger Shah, Dj Feel, Bobina & Lange. Ben has concentrated his time on music production and engineering with some of the world’s top artists and is now working on several new releases with major labels.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Black Hole recordings is the legendary Dutch record label that despite the huge hits at their back catalogue from major artists always finds time to offer exposure to young talents or artists who usually are well known in the music industry but not in the electronic music industry. One of them is Ben Hennessy who will rock the progressive trance dj sets with his stunning warm progressive trance anthem In The Summer. Groovy housey chunky beats, electrified basslines, chopped vocal samples, warm hypnotic electronic melodies and warm synths build the first part of this gorgeous track. The build up is intense towards the first breakdown that sounds absolutely delicious with warm and tender strings, airy pads and sunkissed piano melody that recall summer holidays straight away mashed up with chopped vocal samples and euphoric synths leading nicely the track towards the massive euphoric climax that is uplifting, feel good, carefree and relaxing while you dance with hands in the air and wide smile in your face. The second shorter breakdown comes for a short playful sequence that drive us all the way to the outro mesmerising part! There is shortage of that style of trance tracks and is great that Black Hole delivers that sound again! #PureGold Love iT
