Mehmet Akar is back on Baroque , with a stellar line of remixes to boot!
The Original mix of 'Does This Make Sense' is a filthy groove led cut, with gritty bass rolls, and drums flares lighting up the way. vocal FX, drum layers and whippy pad rides add drive as the track moves along.
Inkfish give us the first remix.. a darker thoughtful tech affair, full of swirling melodic percs, sweeping subtle chords, and shimmering background melodies, classy deep tech.
TR20 also goes down a deeper route, with a hypnotic percussive knock & twisted bass, the production keeps this one interesting as highs drip in & out of the mix, before a 'war of the worlds' style riff takes over
Finally Uvo gives a drummy take on things, with a rolling groove, & delayed pads bouncing around, its a simple journey , which builds and drops, then builds and drops again.. a great pace changer.
Dimitri Kechagias review: When Baroque speaks the rest should stand up and listen cause simply for so many years the top record label delivers quality progressive house that simply talks to your heart. The Turkish producer Mehmet Akar is a huge talent that always shines in the underground circuit with his releases. Does This Make Sense is deep progressive house at its most representative of the genre. Really deep atmospheric house sounds with experimentation and progression to push the boundaries even further and explore the unlimited possibilities that sound production offers when you don't think everything has been done before. Mehmet follows his own path and if you check out his track will definitely feel he had a lot of fun in his studio. Inkfish onboard and we know the score. They produce an even deeper journey that will keep you bubbling on the dancefloor for long. They add in their 8 minutes their own incredible feeling with the melodies and the depth of the basslines. TR20 highlights the techno elements of the track and reshape it into a really dark and twisted deep tech house gem. When you play this anything can happen on the dancefloor. Lastly UVO remix goes for a deep house journey that is smooth relaxing, spacey and super groovy. Love IT
