Fusing his classic progressive house roots with a deep and melodic modern sound, “Paramour” sees Jody at his adventurous best, exploring an epic two minute breakdown flush with Detroit-esque stabs and tear-jerking melodies, all rising towards a momentous fist-pumping drop and menacing bassline.
Rising star Clancy follows his debut Anjunadeep release “I Wanna Know / Revolutions” with a moody remix, twisting the feel-good atmosphere of the original into murkier territory. Bouncy melodies make way for brooding atmospherics, whilst capturing the climactic breakdown in an altogether different light.
Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the true pioneers of electronic dance music considered to be Jody Wisternoff who totally redefine himself and his sound from the time he became closely affiliated with Anjunadeep. He had the most successful revamp and he manage to extend his fanbase to new territories. His latest nearly 10 minutes track is called Paramour and manages successfully to have traces of Jody's progressive house classics with the current deep house sound. The track is travelling, inspiring with cinematic strings, warm melodic themes, colourful synths and surprising soulful house vocal sample. Warm like the touch of summer breeze the track manage to win the attention and slowly interact with its imaginative sound design. The spacey cosmic breakdown is followed by an intense build up that lead the track to the climax that continues to explore new territories with stunning melodic themes and danceable groves and bubbly basslines. What is great about it is the feeling you get at the end of it that is optimistic and very rejuvenating as well. Clancy remix moves on that deep progressive house meets trance territory that is represented very well by artists like Gai Barone for instance. It's mysterious, moody, atmospheric with three dimensional sound with soundlayers coming and going with dark industrial sounds and colourful synths here and there to add some hope to the proceedings. Cinematic and absolutely soul searching is a fantastic version that will be appreciated by wide variety of djs.
