REVIEW: Andy Duguid featuring Shannon Hurley - I Want To Believe out on Magik Muzik

1. Original
2-EC Twins
2. Dexlafunk Remix
3. Us vs. Them Remix

Scottish DJ/Producer Andy Duguid is back with a brand spanking new track entitled “I Want To Believe” on the Magik Muzik imprint. Vocals are performed by Shannon Hurley.

It has been a while since we’ve heard from Andy Duguid, but behind the scenes he has been working very hard. Andy, who regularly performs as a DJ, has been in his studio for quite some time to work on new tracks, countless remixes and a new artist album. This new single is the best example and already everyone can tell that the sound of Duguid has evolved and grown. With the anthems “Don’t Belong” and “Wasted”, which both featured on Tiësto’s In Search of Sunrise series in his pocket, Andy built a rock solid reputation and so far released his album “Believe” and the mix compilation “Miracle Moments”.

“I Want To Believe” is a one of those trademark Duguid productions based on tight beat programming and an extensive, beautifully arranged break. After the climax the party continues and gives full way to Shannon Hurley’s magnificent vocals. Make sure to check out the remixes. Hit!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Whenever a new Andy Duguid single is out everybody who likes quality EDM vocal tracks is very excited as always the Scotish wonderboy deliver the goods. His brand new release is called I Want To Believe and features the vocal performance of the exquisite singer Shannon Hurley. Andy's original mix is a great crossover style track that will satisfy progressive trance and progressive house fans as well. The production is on the highest quality that you can get with driving fluffy bubbly beats and great atmospheric breakdown that becomes the finest soundbed for Shanon to sing her massive lyrics and shine like the star of the night! Soon the big synths appear to tease the audience and when the beat returns we all getting ready for a nice big room style climax. The remix package caters for the progressive house community with three very large versions to choose from and drop without mercy. EC Twins recreate the track ready made for the Big Room epic progressive house sets with influences from AVICII and SHM. Minimal intro, superb intro breakdown with feel good melody and the top vocals and then the hysteria starts with huge synths and slaming epic prog house fat rocking beats. If you want a version that will keep your dancefloor excited EC Twins did it for you. Dexlafunk offer the cooler summer breeze style version that has a retro touch to it. I can imagine many lounge compilation compilers choose this great track that will bring great vibes particularly with the guitar riffs in the mesmerising hypnotic breakdown. Last but not least Us vs. Them continue on the epic prog house theme with a rougher/nu rave influenced version with sharper basslines and aggressive attitude. Quality package not to be missed! Love it!
