REVIEW: Evil Needle - Sunset out on Armada Chill

Take a trip down memory lane, because they don’t usually make them like this anymore.

Bringing influences of funk and disco, Evil Needle’s ‘Sunset’ is worthy of the greats of that era.

Think Kool and the Gang’s ‘Summer Madness’ with a modern twist, jazz piano, live bass, and a masterful arrangement.

When it comes to chill grooves, this one hits the spot!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Armada Chill presents the upcoming artist Evil Needle from Strasbourg / France with his superb track Sunset. Chill out and lounge music allow the composer to be adventurous and play around with various  sound layers on surprising and most of the time innovative ways. Sunset is great title to describe the kind of atmosphere that this little gem evokes. Sweet laid back grooves, relaxing piano chords that recall great acid jazz classics, heavenly vocal samples, cinematic atmosphere of a film that takes place in an underground suburb of New York and analogue sensibility that make you wonder when the band that performs it will come live on stage that maybe is one man show orchestra. Lazy Sunday afternoons will never be the same anymore and will always remind us summer holidays in the terrace of our favourite club watching the sun goes down and the crowd getting ready for another late night at the hippest and coolest clubs of the Island. Travelling without moving! #PureGold Love IT
