REVIEW: Jawoo - Thoughts EP out on Wildlife / Black Hole rec.

01. Jawoo - Hidden Thoughts (Original Mix)
02. Jawoo - Black Thoughts (Original Mix)

Jawoo presents his new “Thoughts EP”, featuring the titles “Hidden Thoughts” and “Black Thoughts”. This is the second EP in a series of four and the follow up to his previous “Audio Memoir / Living Administrator”.

Jawoo a.k.a. Marinko Vujevic was born June 25th 1989 in Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina. His first experience with a big audience was when he was about 14 years old. By that time he started working as a DJ in one of the clubs in his hometown. As a beginner he played a wide variety of genres from techno, tech house, progressive house and even R'n'B and hip-hop; eventually switching to electronic dance music. Nowadays playing mostly electro, techno and tech house Jawoo still tries to focus on the deeper and more melodious sounds in those styles. With his previous releases, Jawoo already showed the competition that an enticing blend of techno and tech house still gets the party rocking. Jawoo also owns his own record imprint Stanch Records since 2008.

So far Jawoo released several EPs on the Black Hole sub label Wildlife, featuring tracks like “Face Of The Jungle”, “Life Dimension”, “Strange People”, “Somewhere in Toronto”, “Security Reasons”, “Toy Story”, "Neighbor Coming To Me" and "The Mouse" all introduced Jawoo's hot sound to the world of electronic dance music.

Jawoo’s second EP contains the titles “Hidden Thoughts” and “Black Thoughts”. Continuing where his first EP ended, the “Thoughts EP” delivers hot tech house that’ll tear the roof off the sucker.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The top house  imprint Wildlife is back with another really good progressive house release from Jawoo who seems to be unstoppable as he delivers quality after quality EP's. First track on his Thoughts EP is the beautiful Hidden Thoughts. Its simply mesmerising with beautiful deep bubbly beats and basslines and on the breakdown a very nice summery Balearic guitar riff that creates a very summery relaxing atmosphere. Its the kind of track that you could easily find on Songbird imprint as well. Black Thoughts is on the same deep progressive house tip with blippy melodic layers, weird distorted basslines and cool percussion with sounds coming from nature. Its hypnotic with cool anxious rhythm that definitely create that feeling when you have some black negative thoughts and you attempt to get away from them but those Black Thoughts are following you to take over the control of your life. Two great tracks that will shine on any club night. Can you handle to deal with your Thoughts? Love iT!
