REVIEW: Mike Nichol - Durado 2011 out on Infrasonic

Mike Nichol - Durado 2011 (Original Mix)
Mike Nichol - Durado 2011 (Dan Stone Remix)
Mike Nichol - Durado 2011 (Sam Silver Remix)

In 2007 Aussie producer Mike Nichol made his debut on Infrasonic with a big room trancer titled Durado. A track that set the tone for Mike as an artist, and the label moving forward, Durado became an overnight success with massive support from all of the top jocks including the world's no. 1 Armin van Buuren.

Fast forward 4 years, and Durado has become a new age classic in its own right, and a very special release we felt needed a little re-spray for 2011.

Now featuring remixes by Dan Stone and competition winner Sam Silver, aswell as a brand new update by Mike himself, Durado is set for a second lease of life under the Infrasonic monica with a package fit for any dancefloor.

HUGE!

Dimitri Kechagias review:  Mike Nichol's Durado is unforgetable trance classic that returns with brand new versions for 2011 to win once again the hearts of any uplifting trance lover in this world and maybe in other planets too. The brand new Mike Nichol version is 10 minutes long epic journey that despite being on 140 BPM it gives you the impression that is slower. It contains psy trance influences and the main melodic theme stays backstage untill to reach the big epic breakdown that warm atmospheres, chorus vocal sounds, huge drops and great synths that recall synthesizer classics create the right atmosphere for the big climax that the beat suddenly comes back and continues with all the main elements of the track for that hands in the air moments. Anjunabeats favorite Dan Stone adds his own unique style with electro tech trance beats and amazing recreation of the main melodic theme. It has groove and that rumpy pumpy bassdriven uplifting feel that all trance fans search for. Its so wonderfully composed that satisfaction is guaranteed. The breakdown is really sensitive with breakbeat  like part to sooth and  travel your mind away and that great theme played  on top. When the drums roll will bring the beat back get ready to go fast forward for the big pay off moment. For this release Infrasonic organised a great competition and the winner is Sam Silver and what a fantastic remix  he did for us that definitely deserved to win. His version is full on uplifting trancer that is  straight to the point with tech trance edge but really melodic and feel good to give you that sense of there is no tomorrow that only trance music can offer to its listener. Awesome package of 3 equally outstanding versions.
