Music icon and entrepreneur Michael Lang - best known for co-creating and producing the original 1969 Woodstock Festival - and chart-topping DJ Nicky Romero speak at ADE Green.
Following a highly successful first edition of ADE Green, ID&T and ADE have jointly announced that the second edition will feature an extended program in a brand new location, the Brakke Grond. The event consists of an afternoon packed with interactive panels, discussions and debates on sustainability, followed by a closing drink to a better and more sustainable future.
Speakers this year include music icon and entrepreneur Michael Lang - best known for co-creating and producing the original 1969 Woodstock Festival - and chart-topping DJ Nicky Romero. Romero is an ambassador for 10,000 HOURS and in that capacity he recently organized his own volunteer day, where he refurbished a home for special needs children together with ten of his fans. During ADE Green, Romero will be discussing the role that artists can have in pro-actively affecting positive social change.
Lang, a resident of Woodstock for over 40 years, remains one of the most respected and prominent figures in the Hudson Valley thanks to his passion for keeping the arts and artists in the area, while supporting the development of local businesses and local artistic initiatives. He sits on the board of The Woodstock Film Festival, Farmhearts, and The Felix Organization for Adoptees. This pioneer will take us back to what happened at the Bethel Woods site in 1969, and will be touching upon the role that music events have in sustainable and social change.
