REVIEW: Peter Martin pres. Anthanasia - Perfect Wave 2012 / Harlem Nights

1.Perfect Wave 2012 (Peter Martins 2012 Mix)
2.Harlem Nights (Original Mix)
3.Perfect Wave 2012 (Ambient Mix)

8 years after riding the ‘Perfect Wave’, a timeless classic returns to the spheres of musical bliss. Peter Martin’s Anthanasia project makes its grand comeback, with the 2012 translation of ‘Perfect Wave’ and the sparklink new ‘Harlem Nights’!

Though he has a grounding in classical studies, playing both the piano and violin, the road of electronic dance music lured to producer Peter Martin. Intrigued by the combination, it didn’t take long until he found balance between both styles. That balance is exactly what made ‘Perfect Wave’ stand out. And it still does. The 2012 version of this beauty still rides that deep, warm atmosphere and strong melodic drive, now updated with a playful rhythm, sturdy beat and catchy prog-house sound.

This guy hasn’t exactly sat still in these past few months. The B-side to this pack, is the deep, diverse trip of ‘Harlem Nights’! Anthanasia is back in action, and we love it!

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the most seminal and influential melodic progressive house/deep trance tracks is of course the awesome Perfect Wave by Peter Martin pres. Anthanasia. The club classic that has many faithful fans worldwide returns once again in a superb version tailor made for the dancefloors of 2012. The element that wrote more in my memory from this track is its ability to capture and radiate to the environment a perfect mysterious atmosphere that is deep, magical and inspirational recalling the classic trance tracks of labels like EYE Q. Peter manage to update his track without loosing its very essence of it that is his cinematic atmosphere and ability to attract the clubbers on the dancefloor and having them with closed eyes dancing and swinging along with the beautiful charismatic continuous progression of melodies and sounds. Perfect Wave as its title suggests is Perfect once again. Second great track on this top EP is his brand new Harlem Nights. Once again his production is simply mindblowing as he adds some understated jazzy influences on top of his crunchy progressive house ace beats and the heavenly style melodies. The breakdown is lovely with superb ambient little melodies and deep percussion until to drive the track towards higher hights. The beat becomes more demanding and menacing and on top some pizzicato little melodies are added to give extra colour and texture. Don't overlook the fantastic ambient version as well. Exceptional high quality tracks that are part of EDM Cultural History. Love IT!
