After almost a twelve month hiatus, everyone’s favourite Aussie DJ / Producer, Matt Bowdidge, returns to the good ship Monster for another uplifting production which will certainly get those hairs standing on end!
‘Shadow Of You’ is typical of the goose bump inducing sound Matt has carved for himself over the last few years. Punchy from the off, the kick and clap fuse with a solid bassline, whilst a tough acid line buzzes around, rolling things along at break neck speed. Beautiful intro plucks blend with deep haunting vocal adlibs, ramping up the emotion to breaking point, before the main vocal and main melodic hook are dropped in the double whammy breakdown!

Dimitri Kechagias review: The exceptional record label Monster Force is back in full force of course with the latest euphoric uplifting feel good trancer by Matt Bowdidge who seems to be on great shape at the moment as he delivers always solid and to the point uplifting trance anthems that are really beautiful, sweet, happy and positive without becoming cheesy or overexcited as he manage to keep the right balance with the underground side of trance. Shadow of You starts with tough metallic kick and bouncy pumping bassline while acid overtones remind us that trance is all the underground. Slowly he introduces the various melodic euphoric elements and chord progression that give you goosebumps, shivers and mouthwatering explosiveness and uncontrollable rush in your head. The breakdown is truly emotional with cinematic atmosphere that is highlighted from the heavenly female voices and the spoken vocal sample that seems to work like a treat to put the emotional turmoil into a coherent context. The build up towards the climax raises the intensity levels to the maximum as the crescendo moment is powerful and truly jaw dropping with all the emotional uplifting synths, vocal samples and rough foundation underneath running with the speed of sound. Just to let you know that the track passed the chair raving test with 10 marks and that is while I was writing my review suddenly my hands unconsciously are raised in the air I just feel that the track has the force to raise you to the next level. #PureDiamond Love iT
