REVIEW: Manufactured Superstars featuring Lea Luna - Drunk Text out on Magik Muzik/Black Hole

1. Extended
2. Sander Kleinenberg Remix

Manufactured Superstars team up with the lovely vocalist Lea Luna. The result is their brand new single “Drunk Text” on the Magik Muzik imprint.

This must be the first house track that successfully addresses the one thing we boys and girls have all done in our lives: sending a text message while you had too much too drink. Afterwards you might feel a bit awkward about it, but as the Manufactured Superstars and Lea Luna say, it’s just a “Drunk Text”. The unmistakable adult undertone of “Drunk Text” makes it one of those perfect cuts for a hot and sticky after party. Sparse synth tones, a dirty, fat rolling bass-line and of course funky four to the flour beats. While Lea Luna’s voice shares her stories with everyone on the dance floor, the erotic feeling in the club might reach boiling point; perfect for every DJ on a late night after session. Especially the jocks familiar with similar classic tracks by Mr Fingers, Jamie Principle and Lil’ Louis know what we’re talking about here.

Sander Kleinenberg was asked to do the remix and his focus on the progressive side of the original are perfect for the packed progressive DJ sets. Once again with those enticing sweeps and that suggestive undertone, but still in a total Sander Kleinenberg jacket. “Drunk Text” is another Manufactured Superstars floorfiller that will raise the temperature in the clubs all over the world!

Dimitri Kechagias review: To say that I totally adore Manufactured Superstars music  is not a lie. The tracks that they have released so far are simply amazing and now they caught us by surprise and they provide a super duper funky whooper club track that is so clever and seductive that has the word classic house anthem written all over it. The original is a lovely bubbly progressive house track with influences from similar classic house tunez with spoken vocals. The mysterious and absolutely gorgeous Lea Luna speaks out and about for those moments that we must appologize for anything we write or say while we are under the influence of alcohol. The music soundtrack follows and adds value to her  words and  in a way the music and the vocal are merged and become totaly inseperable. The good news is that one of the hotest Dutch exports mr Sander Kleineberg provides a very attractive  remix that is pure funk with plenty of soul and just a small snippet of that vocal that should be offered as acapella for the djs who would like to mash it up with their own instrumentals. It grows and progresses constantly until to reach your limits so better be sure to not be unattended under the influence  of its bootyliscious rhythm. Top stuff that is highly recommended.
