The holiday season has descended upon us and Markus Schulz's Coldharbour Recordings presents a special end of year reflection package, comprising of the label's biggest fan favorite compositions of the previous 12 months.
A year in which the label passed the milestone of 250 releases, Markus Schulz's celebrative piece Sestertius opens the pile; and exemplified the qualities of modern day melodic trance. His annual contribution to Transmission in the form of anthem The Lost Oracle also finds a place.
2016 has seen Coldharbour's established talent excel further, with Dutch duo Fisherman & Hawkins bearing the fruits of admired vocal and instrumental work, through Never The Same and Oblivion respectively. Nifra lives up to her queen of trance moniker with the bombastic Rebel, Arkham Knights provide a tech-filled soaring dose with Legacy, and Solid Stone cements his excellent year with album-highlight touch Heart Call.
And there are highlights throughout the 25-track long pack. From the touching Love Is Divine by Artisan, to Mike EFEX's dark-layered Blackstone, and new names such as Anske and Novaspace to collaborative pieces from Dan Thompson and Solis & Sean Truby, there is plenty on offer to enjoy.
