Tomorrowland 2011 - 2 days of magnificent entertainment with the best EDM artists on 14 stages one day to go!
For 3 days visitors from 50 countries were invited to experience the mythical world of Tomorrowland, with the brilliant slogan "Yesterday is History, Today is a Gift and Tomorrow is a Mystery". The recreational area at Boom was transformed in a 2 week period, into a magical place inhabited by strange creatures, which are living happily alongside with the thousands of music lovers of all styles. All of them are united under the power of the beat and passion of Electronic Dance Music. Tomorrowland organisers can be really proud of once again managing to give their visitors an unforgetable experience, to party and have fun, within a safe and really secure enviroment. 3,000 workers, some paid and some on a voluntary basis, manage to keep the levels at a high standard. ID&T Belgium, as an entertainment provider, have been behind many successful events such as "Sensation Belgium". According to the Tomorrowland spokeperson, Debby Wilmsen, the local neighbours are supporting the organisation of the event, and are looking forward to welcoming visitors from all over the globe. ID&T even invited the neighbours and took them on a tour to explore the festival location, offering drinks and souvenirs to the small children. Also, the local council and the police are co-operating closely with the organisers to ensure that any incidents that may arise are dealt with in a prompt and professional manner. All those factors indicate the high attenion to detail during the planning, months before the festival takes place, to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.
Fourteen stages every day, for 3 days, playing on the best possible sound systems, with clear and crisp bass from Trance, Minimal Techno, Uplifting House, Drum n' Bass and even Dubstep. The most talked about artists and DJ's, that are currently favorites of EDM fans played their very best sets. For instance, on the Saturday, I can not forget the happy face of Tiesto while he was playing the last two tracks, where he took the microphone to say to the people: "Tomorrowland, you are the best crowd in the world". The same applied to any DJ who performed at this festival. Above and Beyond, hosted their own "Group Therapy" stage, and they finished their really emotional and powerful set. They thanked the crowd, who left them really satisfied, and gave them goosebumps.
Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike smashed the ID&T main stage, proving their career in the EDM scene is about to blow up big time, at an international level. Their energy on the stage will definitely be remembered as one of the highlightts of the festival. Martin Solveig said "Hello" to his fans, offering a set full of fat Electro House beats, passed through his French filters. These are just some examples of what happened so far at the festival.
